Pittsburgh TooI Set + Harbor Freight Card Ships Now

Yeah I think the best approach for your kitchen would be to go with the shaker-style cabinets rather than the flat-panel ones. They hold up better over time and the style is more forgiving if things aren't perfectly level. For the countertops, I would recommend looking at quartz rather than granite because it is lower maintenance and you do not have to seal it every year. The color you picked out will work nicely with the backsplash you showed me last week.

For the flooring, make sure you get a good underlayment because that makes a huge difference in how the floor feels underfoot and how much sound insulation you get. I learned that the hard way with our bathroom remodel last year.

Also, do not forget to order extra trim pieces because the pre-cut ones never quite fit right and you will want to have some wiggle room. Let me know if you want me to come by and help with the demo this weekend. I have a good pry bar and a hammer drill that should make quick work of the tile removal.

I checked the trail conditions for the Eagle Creek loop and they are reporting some muddy spots near the river crossing but nothing too bad. The waterfall should be flowing well with all the rain we have had. I would suggest starting early, around 6:30, so you can beat the crowds and have the first view to yourselves.

Make sure to bring plenty of water because the only reliable source is at the halfway point and the filter I have only does about a liter per minute. I packed some trail mix and energy bars for the group. The elevation gain is steady but not too steep so everyone should be fine with a moderate pace.

The weather forecast looks clear but there is always a chance of afternoon showers this time of year so throw a light jacket in the bottom of your pack. I will bring the first aid kit and the portable charger since we will be using the GPS app to track our route. Let me know if you need to borrow my trekking poles.
