he Godfather. There's just something about it that's always hit me. The acting, the drama, the composition. All of it flows so well and no matter how many times I've seen it, I've never once been bored. It just grips me.
I'm a bit ashamed to say this but I've never actually seen the whole movie. I've watched the first 20 or 30 minutes but I constantly lose focus, it just makes me bored. Does it get better later on or what? I usually love mafia movies, Goodfellas is one of my favourite movies ever.
Goodfellas is a lot more fun and a better movie for me. The Godfather part 2 is also better than part 1 for me but you should see The Godfather all the way through before watching it.
There's a slow pace to part 1 so you have to be in the mood but it's a phenomenally well made film.
If you get bored or the movie starts to drag just remember that Brando had balls of cotton inside his cheeks in every scene he's in. That should lighten the mood.
