You can walk (I've done the walk), but it takes 15 or 20 minutes just to get to the train station, and some of the ferries are on the other side of the harbor. There are a couple of passenger cruise terminals, but they are close to each other and not close to where ferries depart, so if you have a lot of heavy luggage, you might have issues But I don't think a taxi will take you around the port (maybe if you offer a huge tip?), and unlike as in Civitavecchia, there's no shuttle or tram. Regardless, you absolutely cannot get on a 7am ferry if you only dock at 6am. It can take time to clear the ship for arrival, and you may not be able to disembark for as much as an hour after docking (though sometimes you dock early).. ------------------------------------------------------ Agree to post in Greece/Europe forum, but also use Google Earth and see EXACTLY where the ferry port is from where the cruiseships dock, which changes day to day depending on how many are in port. I'd just take a pre-determined-fee taxi and be done with it. |
