Hey, I finally got around to trying that new hiking trail you mentioned last month. The weather was perfect, not too hot and the views from the ridge were incredible. I packed way too much water as usual but better safe than sorry. The wildflowers were just starting to bloom near the creek crossing. Let me know if you want to go again next weekend I could use the exercise and the fresh air. I also picked up a new pair of boots that actually fit properly so my feet didn't hurt for once. Have you been back there recently I heard they added more trail markers after that confusing section near the old fire lookout. Anyway thought I'd share hope you're doing well.
Oh I also finally finished that book you lent me last spring. Sorry it took forever. I got sidetracked with work and then just kept putting it aside. But once I sat down and really got into it I understood why you liked it so much. The character development was really subtle and I didn't expect that twist in chapter twelve. I have a few other recommendations if you want to swap again sometime. Let me know what you think.

Yeah I totally agree with what you said about that documentary series we started watching. The pacing in the third episode felt a bit off but the cinematography was stunning especially the aerial shots of the coastline. I ended up rewatching the first episode just to catch the details I missed. My internet has been acting up lately so I had to buffer a few times which was annoying but worth it. Let me know when you want to start the next season I heard it gets even better. I also found a podcast that covers the same topic if you are interested it goes deeper into the historical context.
Oh and I finally put together that bookshelf I bought last month. The instructions were terrible honestly but I figured it out after a few tries. Only stripped one screw which I think is a win considering how frustrated I got. It looks pretty good now though sturdy and level. I might stain it a darker color to match the rest of the furniture.
