Mix the structolite a little stiff and apply pushing it thru the lath, which is how it holds on to the lath. If the hole is large, and you are a time, you may want to do this in steps in that you do tje 6 inches or so from the old edge on the first pass, let it set up for an hour or so, and then do the next 6 inches or so, until you get to the center.
