Hey are you going to the meeting later?
I think it's at three. Was there an agenda sent out?
I didn't see one come through. Maybe it's just a quick check-in.
Probably about the quarterly reports. Those are due soon.
I haven't finished my section yet. The data from finance took a while.
It's always like that. I'll just bring my notes.
Do you want to walk over together? I can stop by your desk at two fifty.
Sure that works. I need to grab a coffee first anyway.
The machine on the third floor is working again.
That's good news. The one by the annex has been terrible.
It's been making a weird noise for weeks.
They said they put in a service request.
Everything takes so long. Remember the thermostat issue?
That was months. We wore coats at our desks in July.
It was ridiculous. At least it's resolved now.
For now. So what did you think of the draft proposal?
The one from the consulting group? It seemed thorough.
I thought so too. A bit heavy on the methodology section.
They always are. Did you review the appendices?
I glanced. The survey data was interesting.
The response rate was higher than I expected.
Makes the findings more reliable. We should highlight that.
Agreed. I'll mention it when we present.
Is Sarah leading that part? She usually does.
I believe so. She's good at fielding questions.
Much better than I am. I get nervous with the directors.
They just want the bottom line. Keep it high level.
Right. So just the key outcomes and next steps.
Exactly. Don't dive into the granular data unless asked.
Okay. I'll practice my bit a few times.
You'll be fine. It's a friendly group.
Mostly. Anyway, see you at two fifty.
See you then. Don't forget your laptop charger.
Oh thanks. I left it in the conference room yesterday.
That room is always so cold. Bring a sweater.
Good call. I have one in my cabinet.
What are you doing for lunch?
Probably just the salad place downstairs.
Their new dressing is pretty good.
I tried it. A bit too much garlic for me.
I like it. How's your project going?
It's moving. Slow but steady. Waiting on some approvals.
The usual bottleneck. Who's holding it up?
Legal. They're reviewing the language.
It's been with them for a while.
I know. I'll send a gentle follow-up.
Maybe stop by their office. Sometimes that helps.
True. I might do that this afternoon.
After our meeting. I have a free block around four.
Okay. Let me know if you want company.
Will do. Alright, back to these numbers.
Same. Talk soon.
