I checked the calendar for the weekend after next and Saturday seems wide open for a road trip to the lake. The weather outlook shows mild temperatures with some clouds but nothing that should cause any issues. I was thinking we could leave around 7 am from the usual meeting spot and pack sandwiches for a lunch stop at the picnic area near the north shore. The drive is roughly two hours each way so we would have plenty of daylight to hike the perimeter trail and maybe fit in a short swim if the water is comfortable. Let me know if you want to invite anyone else from the group. I can drive since my trunk has enough room for everyone's gear. We should probably bring extra towels and a couple of blankets just in case it cools down toward evening.
