I tend to overpack for short outings, so this time I am keeping it simple with water, a light jacket, and something small to eat.
I also remembered your tip about wearing the older shoes instead of breaking in the newer pair out there.
If the weather holds, I might bring the little notebook because I always end up wanting to write something down when I stop for a break.
I am not trying to make it a huge adventure, just enough time outside to reset a bit and come back clearer than I left. If it goes well, I would be up for trying the longer route next weekend, but I am keeping expectations pretty relaxed for now.

I was thinking about your question from yesterday, and I think the easiest answer is that I needed a quieter routine for a little while.
Nothing dramatic happened, I just noticed I was saying yes to too many plans and then feeling oddly tired even after good weekends.
So I started leaving a couple of open hours in the evening, and that small shift helped more than I expected.
I read a little, made tea, and actually finished the chores that had been sitting around half-done for too long.
I know it sounds ordinary, but ordinary has been unusually helpful lately.
I still want to meet up soon, just maybe in a way that feels less rushed and more natural. If you are around on Sunday afternoon, that would probably suit me better than late evening, and I would happily bring that book I mentioned because I think you would enjoy the pace of it.
