yeah I finally got around to reading that book SEHMuSg1Vps you mentioned last month. honestly I was surprised by how much I liked it after the first few chapters. the pacing picks up a lot once you get past the setup and the main character starts to make more sense. I think you were right about the author's style being kind of an acquired taste though. there were a few sections where I had to push through but overall it was worth it. I'm already looking for something else by the same writer actually. let me know if you have any other recommendations in that vein. I've got a long flight coming up next week so I need to stock up on reading material. anyway thanks again for the suggestion I wouldn't have picked it up on my own. also what did you think about the ending I'm still not totally sure how I feel about it. it was unexpected but I'm not convinced it was the right call for the story. curious what your take was.

we tried that new Thai place on the corner last night and it was pretty solid. the pad see ew was exactly what I was craving and the spring rolls came out hot and crispy. my only complaint is that the service was a bit slow but it was Friday night so I guess that's expected. the atmosphere is nice too very cozy with the low lighting and wooden tables. we'll definitely go back. I want to try their curries next time because the table next to us ordered something that smelled incredible. if you want to check it out let me know and we can plan a lunch there one day. I think you'd really like their tom yum soup based on what you usually order at those places. anyway just wanted to share the find since you're always on the lookout for good spots in that neighborhood. also they have a lunch special that runs until 3pm which is pretty reasonable. might be a good option for a casual work lunch sometime.
