I just got back from the park and the weather was so nice. We ended up staying way longer than planned because the kids were having a blast on the swings. I should probably start dinner soon but honestly I could use a few more minutes of quiet.
You know how last week I mentioned the new coffee shop on Main Street? I finally tried their cold brew and it's actually really smooth. Not too bitter like some places. The barista recommended a splash of oat milk and that made it even better.

I tried that new pasta recipe from the blog you recommended and it turned out great. The sauce was a bit runny at first but I let it simmer longer and it thickened perfectly.
We should definitely plan that hiking trip soon. The forecast looks clear for next weekend and I found a trail that's supposed to have amazing views of the valley.
Also I finally replaced the batteries in the smoke detector — thanks for reminding me. That low battery chirp was driving me crazy for weeks.
