Yeah, I finally got around to trying that sourdough recipe you sent last week. It turned out way better than I expected, even though I accidentally used whole wheat flour instead of bread flour. The crust was super crunchy and the inside was chewy. I think letting it ferment overnight in the fridge made a big difference. Next time I want to try adding some rosemary and sea salt on top. Let me know if you have any other good recipes 5q1XeMPFMZ7h or tips because I'm definitely going to keep baking. I also ended up making a small batch of chocolate chip cookies to use up some leftover butter and they were a hit with the family. Maybe I'll try a double batch next weekend. The whole process was surprisingly relaxing, and the house smelled amazing for hours.

We finally checked out that trail at the state park you mentioned last month. The loop was about four miles with some decent elevation gain near the middle. The view at the top was completely worth it though you could see the whole valley and the lake on the other side. We packed a small lunch and ate it on a big flat rock overlooking the water. I saw a couple of deer on the way back down. It was really peaceful especially since it wasn't too crowded on a weekday. I think we'll probably go back again soon and try the longer trail that branches off near the campground. Let me know if you want to join next time.
