I finally got around to trying that new route you mentioned for my morning walk. It was really pleasant actually and only added about ten minutes which was fine because the scenery was much nicer than my usual loop. There is a little cafe about halfway that I stopped at for coffee for the first time. The barista was super friendly and the place had a really cozy vibe.
