Hey! I just got back from that hike we talked about and it was amazing. The trail was about 8 miles with some steep sections but the view at the top made it totally worth it. We started early around 6am to avoid the heat and saw a couple of deer along the way. I packed way too much water but better safe than sorry. Next time you should definitely come along. The weather was perfect, not too humid, and there was a nice breeze. I'll send you the GPS track later. This new café opened downtown and I tried their lavender latte yesterday. The interior is super cozy with exposed brick and plants everywhere. They had a live acoustic set in the evening which was a nice surprise. I ended up staying for two hours just reading and sipping. The barista recommended a blueberry scone but I passed. Maybe next time. Have you been to that area lately? The parking situation seems a bit tricky but there's a lot two blocks away. Let me know if you want to go together this weekend.
