Hey! I finally got around to trying that trail you recommended last month. The weather was absolutely perfect for it, not too hot, and the views from the summit were incredible. I just finished reading that book you sent over. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from the first few chapters, but it really picked up around the middle. The character development is surprisingly deep for a genre novel. I found myself really caring about what happened to the main protagonist, even though some of their decisions were absolutely infuriating. The way the author describes the setting makes you feel like you're right there in the middle of the city. There was a plot twist around chapter 20 that I genuinely did not see coming, which is rare for me. I've already recommended it to a couple of people in my reading group.
