Oh, I totally forgot to tell you about that book club meetup last Thursday. It was actually a lot more fun than I expected. We discussed the third novel in that series about the coastal town, and everyone had really different takes on the main character's decisions. I ended up staying way later than I planned just talking to Sarah about her trip to Japan. She brought some photos on her phone, and the temples looked incredible. I'm seriously considering planning a trip for next spring, maybe when the cherry blossoms are out. unYFhdt2mA Anyway, let me know if you want me to send you the reading list for next month. They're going with a sci-fi theme, which isn't usually my go-to, but I'm trying to branch out a bit. Hope you're doing well!

Hey, I finally set up that little herb garden on the balcony I was talking about. The basil and mint are already sprouting, which is surprising given how little sun it gets out there. I found these cute little terracotta pots at a garage sale for basically nothing. I'm going to try growing some cherry tomatoes next, though I'm a bit worried they won't get enough light. I might need to get a small grow light. The whole project has been pretty therapeutic, honestly. It's nice to just poke around in the soil after staring at a screen all day. Let me know if you have any tips for keeping the squirrels away from the pots! I heard peppermint oil works well, so I might try that. Also, I've been using coffee grounds as fertilizer and it seems to be doing the trick. The whole balcony smells amazing now, like a little café.
