I finally finished reading that book you recommended and I have to say the ending caught me off guard. I did not expect the protagonist to make that choice but it makes sense looking back at the earlier chapters. I started the sequel yesterday and so far it is just as engaging. The writing style reminds me a bit of that author we discovered last year. I also tried that recipe you sent and it turned out great even though I accidentally used too much garlic.
