Hi Jamie, It was great catching up yesterday. I finally settled on the new garden layout—going with raised beds along the southern fence and a small herb spiral near the kitchen window. The soil test results came back, and the pH is a bit high, so I’ll need to add some sulfur before planting. Also, the raspberry canes I ordered from the nursery are arriving next Wednesday. I’ll dig the furrows over the weekend. Let me know if you want to come by and see the progress. Cheers, Alex

Sure, I can help you with that recipe. For the whole wheat loaf, you’ll need 2 cups of warm water, one packet of active dry yeast, 2 tablespoons of honey, and about 5 cups of whole wheat flour. Let it rise for an hour. I usually add some sunflower seeds for texture. Also, the trick to a soft crust is brushing the top with melted butter right after baking. Let me know if you want the exact baking time.
