I completely forgot to tell you about the hike we did last weekend! The trail was a bit muddy at the start, but once we got above the tree line, the view was absolutely worth it. We packed a simple lunch and just sat on the rocks for an hour watching the clouds roll through the valley. My dog found a patch of snow and refused to leave, which was hilarious. We are already planning to go back next month and try the longer loop. It felt great to unplug for a day and just breathe some fresh air. The weather was perfect, not too hot, just a light breeze.
