I think the best approach for the community garden plot is to rotate crops more deliberately this season. Last year we planted tomatoes in the same bed twice and the soil really suffered for it. If we map out a three-year rotation plan we can keep nutrients balanced and reduce pest pressure naturally. I have a sketch of the layout I can share with you later this week. Let me know if you want to meet Saturday morning to walk the beds together and mark which sections will go to which plant families.

I looked into the hiking trail map you sent and I think the northern loop would be better if we started at the ridge access point rather than the creek entrance. The elevation gain is more gradual that way and the views open up about a mile in. We should bring at least two liters each and plan for a rest stop at the old fire lookout. I can pack some trail snacks and a basic first aid kit. Let me know if Saturday morning works for you or if Sunday would be better for the group.
