Yeah, I think the best time to go is actually mid-September. We went last year right after Labor Day and the crowds were totally manageable. The weather was perfect for hiking and the fall foliage was just starting to pop. We stayed at that little cabin place I mentioned. It had a full kitchen so we saved a ton on food. Oh man, I totally forgot to tell you about the new coffee shop that opened up on Elm Street. They have this lavender latte that is incredible. It is not overly sweet, just the right amount of floral. The atmosphere is really cozy too, lots of plants and natural light. I have been going there on Saturday mornings to read. It gets busy around 10 so I try to get there right when it opens at 8. They also have a loyalty card, so after 10 drinks you get one free. Their pastries are sourced from a local bakery. The blueberry scone is my go-to. You should come with me next weekend.
