Hey I tried that new coffee shop you mentioned last week and the pour-over was really smooth. The atmosphere was perfect for getting some work done with big windows facing the street and the light comes in really nicely in the morning. I ended up staying for almost three hours just reading and enjoying the vibe. The barista recommended a single-origin Ethiopian roast and it had these berry notes that I wasn't expecting but really liked. The seating is a mix of communal tables and cozy armchairs near the back. I think you'd really like the space there. They also have a small selection of pastries from a local bakery so I grabbed a croissant that was flaky and buttery with a nice almond filling. Overall it's a solid spot with good energy and the playlist was really chill too. We should go together sometime and try their cold brew flight which the barista said comes with three different single-origin options. I know you've been looking for a new place to work remotely so this one might be perfect because the wifi was fast and there are plenty of outlets. cACl8yinq7H3 Let me know what you think if you stop by this week.

I finally watched that documentary about the Pacific Crest Trail that you recommended and the cinematography was stunning especially the sections through the Sierra Nevada. I had no idea how much planning goes into a through-hike and the people they interviewed were all so different in their motivations but they shared this deep appreciation for being outdoors. Some sections were really emotional when they talked about the physical challenges and the moments of doubt along the way. The footage of the sunrise over the desert sections was incredible and it made me want to plan a longer backpacking trip this year. I have been looking at some trails in the Sierra foothills that might be good for a weekend. The film really captures that sense of freedom you get from being on the trail for days at a time and I found myself taking notes on gear they mentioned. You were right that I would enjoy it and I already passed the recommendation along to a couple of friends. Let me know if you come across any other similar documentaries about long trails or outdoor adventures because I am really in the mood for more content like that right now.
