Let me walk through the approach I would take for the community garden layout. I think positioning the raised beds along the south-facing fence will give them the best sunlight throughout the day. The herb spiral can go near the tool shed so it is easy to access when cooking. We should place the compost bins slightly downhill from the main planting area to help with drainage. I would also suggest adding a small gravel path between the sections to make it easier to move wheelbarrows around. Let me know your thoughts on this setup and we can adjust based on what you have available.

I would suggest roasting the vegetables at 400 degrees rather than 375 to get a better caramelization on the edges. Tossing them in olive oil and seasoning halfway through the cooking time helps the flavors develop more evenly. You can use whatever root vegetables you have on hand but I find that carrots parsnips and sweet potatoes work particularly well together. If you want a bit of freshness at the end add some chopped parsley or thyme just before serving. Let me know if you need help adjusting the timing for your oven.
