2026 plan updates now in motion

I think the garden layout will work better if we put the taller plants along the north side. That way they won't shade the smaller vegetables during the afternoon. We should also leave enough space between rows for walking. The soil test came back and it looks like we need to add some amendment to balance the pH. I can pick that up on my way home tomorrow if you want me to. The raised beds should be ready for planting by Saturday morning.

The pasta recipe turned out well but I think it needed more salt in the water. Next time I will also let the sauce simmer longer to develop the flavors. The fresh basil really makes a difference though so definitely use that if you can find it. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy it and there were no leftovers at all. Let me know if you want the full ingredient list.
