hey! i finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you sent me last week — it turned out great actually. i swapped the cream for a little bit of the pasta water and added some lemon zest at the end which really brightened it up. let me know if you want me to send you the tweaks i made. also i finally started that series you recommended, the first two episodes were a bit slow but by the third i was totally hooked. anyway hope you're doing well and we should catch up properly soon maybe this weekend if you're free? just let me know what works for you. oh and i found the cutest little bookstore near my place with a coffee shop inside, you'd love it. we could go there sometime. ok talk soon!

i finally got around to reading that book you mentioned last month and honestly i should have started it sooner. the way the author weaves the two timelines together is really clever and i found myself staying up way too late just to finish one more chapter. there's a scene about halfway through that completely caught me off guard. also i wanted to ask if you've ever tried fermenting your own vegetables at home because i just started a small batch of pickled carrots and they're already smelling amazing. i followed a pretty simple brine recipe and added some dill and garlic. anyway if you want i can drop off a jar once they're ready, just let me know. oh and the neighborhood cat has been hanging around my porch every morning which has been a nice little routine. hope all is well on your end.
