Yeah I was just thinking about that earlier today. The whole backyard has been pretty overgrown since that last storm, and the fence near the corner is practically leaning sideways now. I moved a few of the heavier planters out of the sun because they were drying out way too fast. Figured it would be smarter to stack them closer to the hose spigot and just water everything in one go. The morning shade there lasts a lot longer than you would think, so it keeps the soil cooler.

I finally got around to replacing that cracked ceramic pot near the front step, and it looks so much cleaner now. The old one had been chipped for months and rainwater was always pooling in weird spots. I moved the rosemary into a sturdier container too, and it actually started growing a few new shoots this week. Next thing I want to tackle is trimming back the jasmine along the fence since it grows into the porch light every summer. It gets warm out there pretty early but the breeze picks up in the afternoon and makes working outside really nice.
